Standalone Configuration Management

The recommended process for managing a small stand-alone network is:

•

Maintain records indicating which stations are connected to each port
on each repeater. Digital recommends drawing a network topology
map.

•

Observe the LEDs on the DECrepeater to determine the network
status.

Figure 4–3 shows a typical standalone network topology map. Table 4–3
describes each LED and its function.
