INPUT, EDIT OR DELETE MESSAGES

To input, delete or edit a message, the unit must
be in the STOPPED Mode. If the LCD reads
PRINTING, press
. The screen should be
similar to the one shown at the left.

Enter the Message Entry mode by pressing

The top portion of the screen will change as
shown on the left.

The user has two options to edit or change a
message. If a new message is to be entered press
the
key to delete the entire existing
message.
For example, to produce a single line of text.
Press the font key
until the S12 font size
is shown, and enter
EXP followed by the
key. This enters the date offset as defined in
MESSAGE ENTRY
- - - FONT- 2 S5
BEST BY

the F1menu. This enters the date offset as defined
in the F1 menu.
To place two lines use
the to select 2
LINE size. Press the
to delete the
entire message. Press the
to select
which line the data will be entered on. Enter BEST
BY. The pictorial at the left shows two lines of 2
LINE character size. To enter and print only 1 line of 2 LINE select the line and
enter data to that line only.

Once the message line(s) is complete, save the change by pressing

NOTE: USE THE DATE OFFSET KEY TO ENTER AN EXPIRATION DATE.
