Technical Security Device (TSE)
A new fiscal law has been introduced in Germany (it is called „Gesetz zum Schutz vor Manipulationen an
digitalen Grundaufzeichnungen“, which means: law in order to protect digital data from manipulation).
Furthermore, technical guidelines have been released for security devices of electronic recording sys-
tems (called “Technische Richtlinien für Sicherheitseinrichtungen von elektronischen Aufzeichnungssys-
temen”).
From 1st of January 2020 POS manufacturers will be obliged to deliver each POS within Germany with
the functionality of a so-called TSE (Technische Sicherheitseinrichtung / Technical Security Device).
This "TSE" device is the DN solution of the Technical Security Device (crypto memory) which can be
used in our POS systems / POS environment.
