3. Fill in the fields in the General section, as follows

• In the Name field, enter a name for the route.
• In the Direction field, select the PSTN to SIP Mapping option.
• In the Select sources section, select the SIP peer that describes the SIParator web interface.
• In the Select destinations section, select the controller that describes the PSTN interface.
For example:

4. Leave the Address Manipulation fields blank. No CPID manipulation needs to be performed for

PSTN ---> SIP calls.

5. Click OK to save the new route.

The new route now appears on the main Diva SIPcontrol web interface page.

Creating Logs and Traces for Debugging

The BorderNet 500 Gateway provides two tools for creating logs and traces for debugging:

• The SIParator logging tool can gather diagnostic messages from SIParator events and capture IP packet

contents.

• The Diva tracing tool can capture signaling messages and RTP packet contents.
