3.20.11 V.17 Fax Call List Outbound
Description: The gateway supports a mode that allows a user to override the V.34 fax setting for a
specific set of phone numbers in the outbound direction (i.e., the remote fax machine is receiving a
fax from the Media Gateway). V.17 fax may be used for a specific set of phone numbers since V.17
fax mode may be more resilient to line impairments and interoperability issues. The V.17 call list
provides a mode of operation to handle cases when the V.34 fax mode fails to complete in a timely
manner.
Note: The V.17 Fax Call List Outbound setting is currently only supported on the DMG2030DTIQ and
DMG2060DTISQV34.
Allowed Values: Any valid phone number (Specify “000000000” for anonymous call phone
number. The V.17 call list phone numbers should be delimited by semi-colons.)
Default Value = none

setting for a specific set of phone numbers in the inbound direction (i.e., the remote fax machine is
sending a fax to the Media Gateway). V.17 fax may be used for a specific set of phone numbers
since V.17 fax mode may be more resilient to line impairments and interoperability issues. The
V.17 call list provides a mode of operation to handle cases when the V.34 fax mode fails to
complete in a timely manner.
