§9.7 – Operation of column lifts with hydraulic closure [ref. OVH004 or OVH011]

§9.2 through §9.4 above explain how each of the functions OPEN - LOWER - LIFT - CLOSE are activated via the various types of
controls. This section explains in which sequence the DH-VO* with hydraulic closure must be operated, and which steps must be
followed.

Consult the operation manual before
getting started. Follow
ALL
safety and
operation instructions.
Switch on the electrical power to the
liftgate (cabin switch or main battery
disconnect switch in the external control
box, or both if both are available).
LOWER the platform approx. 6” to
disengage the mechanical stow lock.
Opening the platform
OPEN the platform to the horizontal work
position. If the liftgate is equipped with 1
tilt cylinder only [ref. OVH004], press
OPEN until the platform lands and stops
in its preset horizontal position.
If the liftgate is equipped with 2 tilt
cylinders [ref. OVH011], press OPEN
until the platform lands in horizontal
position.
OPEN or CLOSE the platform few
degrees down or up to adjust the pitch
of the platform to the slope of the
ground.
If so equipped, deploy the cart-stops or
retention ramp built into the platform. The
cart-stops are operated by foot; the
retention ramp by hand.
