Universal Serial Bus Ports
The system board is equipped with
two on-board USB ports at location J1
of the system. USB allows data ex-
change between your computer and a
wide range of simultaneously
accessible external Plug and Play
peripherals.
You must have the proper drivers
installed in your operating system to
use these ports. Refer to your
operating system’s manual or
documentation.
IrDA Connector
The system board is equipped with an IrDA connector for wireless
connectivity between your computer and peripheral devices. Con-
nect your IrDA cable to connector JP12 on the system board. Make
sure “UART2 Mode Select” in the Integrated Peripherals setup of
the Award BIOS is set to the type of IrDA standard supported by
your IrDA peripheral/device. You must have the proper drivers
installed in your operating system to use this connector. Refer to your
operating system’s manual or documentation.
