When using different telephone numbers for

, is it imperative

that both numbers be assigned to users. If your OpenPhone 27 handset is regis-
tered as

Data

, then a PC symbol will appear on the display of the handset.

5.4.4 Settings for an Internet connection via the PC

dial-up network

From the included System CD, as first step, install the driver for your OpenPhone
27, see

Installing the Software

starting on page 92. A dial-up connection to your

Internet Service Provider can then be configured as explained in the following
description.

Configuring the connection

Prerequisites

: In order to be able to browse the Internet from your PC, you require

access via a provider. In order to configure your connection, you will be require the
following information:

– dial-up number

– user name

– password

5.4.5 Setting up the dial-up networking access

In the Windows control panel, open the category

Network and Internet Con-

nections

(Windows XP) or

Dial-up Networking

(other Windows versions).

Alternatively choose the

Properties

command in the context menu of the

Network Places

icon.

Call up the internet connection wizard. Follow the instructions of the wizard.
Select the

Aastra DeTeWe ISDN

entry as modem device.
