. Now select one of the fol-

lowing options:

Subscribe PP

: Subscribes the handset (PP = Portable Part) to the base

station (FP = Fixed Part). If you wish to check in the handset using the secured
procedure, you will need the FP PIN of the base station (also referred to as AC =
Authentication Code). If you are using the simplified procedure, leave this field
blank. For more information on checking in handsets, refer to the
OpenCom 100 online help. Press

: If you have subscribed your handset to several base sta-

tions, in the idle state it will automatically select one of the base stations in
range. Your handset will thus automatically register on one of the base stations
on which it is subscribed to as soon as you are no longer within the range of
the current base station. If the handset is subscribed to one or more base sta-
tions, the menu option “Auto search” is used to open a list of subscription
records. Use the arrow keys to select a base station and press

: If you have subscribed the handset to several base stations, you can

select which one your handset should use.

Edit Entry

: You can edit the name and display of the telephone number

(usually the internal/local telephone number) for the selected subscription
record. This information appears in the idle state when the handset is regis-
tered on the corresponding base station.

Note:

With the OpenCom 100, you do not need to enter an

internal phone number for the handset since the communi-
cations system manages internal numbers automatically.
