The Service Menu

In addition to the Local Menu, that is "managed" by the handset, the OpenPhone 24 also offers access
to the menu of the communication system. This menu contains a variety of settings for the communi-
cation system and for your telephone. Some of the important features of the Service Menu are also
available over the Local Menu under the menu items "Dial assist", "Ringing control" and "Set tele-
phone" (see page 28). Furthermore, many features can also be activated via short cuts (see page 56).

In the Service Menu, the features have been divided into 10 groups. By pressing a digit from 1 ... 0,
the respective group can be accessed and by entering further digits, the submenus of those groups
can be accessed. If you are not familiar with the digits, the features can also be accessed through
"scrolling". For example, the "Location" in the menu is accessible using S211.

The following is an overview of the menu groups and the menu access. Furthermore, the general
procedure for the Service Menu will be described according to an example, as well as several impor-
tant settings. All additional options for the Service Menu are described in the user guide for the cor-
ded luxury telephones of your communication system. Please refer to the respective documentation
and to the complete description of the Service Menu in the appendix.
