Refitting the prismatic tube
NOTE
Do not use CEREC 2 / CEREC 3 prismatic tubes.
NOTE
Risk of damaging the front lens or prism.
➢ The prismatic tube must not touch the front lens.
➢ Push the prismatic tube straight toward the camera body; do not
tilt it.
➢ Carefully refit the prismatic tube until it locks in place.

Pre-cleaning of the prismatic tube
Cleaning process immediately after using the CEREC Bluecam: Wipe
the camera with the appropriate prismatic tube so that the superficial
impurities cannot harden and stick to the surface of the prismatic tube.
Remove any visible contaminations using cotton wool gauze, moistened
with tap water and a neutral soap, or lint-free cloth soaked with one of
the disinfectant agents specified in the "Cleaning agents and
disinfectants [→ 3]" section. Wipe down the prismatic tube afterwards
again with the absorbent cotton gauze dipped in drinking water. Next
dry the prismatic tube using a lint-free cloth.

Wipe disinfection for the camera and prismatic tube
NOTE
Do not spray the CEREC Bluecam with or immerse it in cleaning
agents or disinfectants!

Remove the camera support (if present).
2.
Carry out a preliminary cleaning process (see "Pre-cleaning of the
prismatic tube [→ 17]").

Use a new absorbent cotton gauze which is moistened with one of
the agents listed in the "Cleaning agents and disinfectants [→ 3]"
section. First wipe the camera enclosure and then the prismatic
tube. The camera enclosure and prismatic tube are disinfected
through this step.
4.
Wipe down the prismatic tube afterwards again with the absorbent
cotton gauze dipped in drinking water.
5.
Next dry the prismatic tube using a lint-free cloth.
