
Chapter 4 Customizing the Bluetooth
®
Adapter
You can customize the Bluetooth
®
adapter by modifying communications, configuration (as slave/master), and other
parameters with the configuration software “BA Setting*”. These parameters retain their settings even when the
power is off.

Configuring the Bluetooth
®
adapter
Start
Run the configuration software “BA Setting” on the host computer.
↓
Switch to the setup mode
Hold down the SETUP button provided on the bottom of the Bluetooth
®
adapter for at least 0.5 second with a pin or the like to switch to the setup
mode.
Note:
In the SETUP mode, a USB-COM or RS-232C interface is available
regardless of the interface selected in the Bluetooth
®
adapter. Using the
USB-COM interface for the first time requires installing the Active USB-COM
port driver provided by DENSO WAVE. (For driver installation, refer to
Chapter 2.)
Note:
Leaving the Bluetooth
®
adapter for 3 minutes or more after depression of
the SETUP button automatically exits the setup mode.

Interface/power supply LED: Flashes orange.
Select port
Select the port that connects to the Bluetooth
®
adapter.
↓
The configuration software reads the Bluetooth
®
adapter's settings and displays them
on the computer screen.
Set parameters
Modify desired parameter settings.
↓
Exit
Establish the modified settings. After that, the Bluetooth
®
adapter
automatically restarts itself regardless of whether the parameter setting ends
normally.
Note:
To modify the settings again after establishment, first switch the
Bluetooth
®
adapter to the setup mode and then run the configuration software
again.
