NOTE 2: When “AUDIO OUTPUT” is set to “DIG./NORMAL” or “DIG./PCM”, no analog signals are output.
• Linear PCM audio is the signal recording format used for music CDs.
While the signals are recorded at 44.1 kHz/16 bit for music CDs, for DVDs they are recorded at 48 kHz/16 bit to 96 kHz/24 bit, providing
higher sound quality than music CDs.

Playing DVDs with incorrect settings may result noise that could
damage your ears or the speakers.
• Set the “TV TYPE” in “VIDEO SETUP” in “SETUP” comply with
your TV's video format. When the TV is NTSC formated, set to
NTSC. (See page 37.)
