Spill sumps/shelves may only be transported in an unloaded state.
Spill sumps/shelves with feet can be lifted and transported with forklifts or stackers.
Loading spill sumps/shelves
Use suitable aids to place the containers on the grate or directly inside the spill sump, ensuring that they are stable.
When loading mobile spill sumps/shelves, lock them in place before loading. Always position storage media in the center
of the spill sump.
When loading, make sure that it is always possible to see inside the spill sump/shelf.
NOTICE
Placing containers in the spill sump.
When using the spill sump without grating, the capacity must be observed in accordance with the directive on the
requirements for steel drip trays with a volume of up to 1000 liters (StawaR).
NOTICE
Use in EX zones.
To avoid sparks, place the containers in/on the spill sump/shelf at moderate speed (<1m/s).
Racking
Spill sumps/shelves must safeguard the area of activity around containers used for racking (e.g., barrel with tap lying on its

carry out maintenance and repair work.
Inspection at regular intervals of a maximum of one year by an expert commissioned by the operator.
Unscheduled inspection in the event of damage or unusual incidents that may affect the load capacity and after
repair by an expert commissioned by the operator.
Before visual and functional inspections, it may be necessary to clean the spill sump/shelf and accessories.
The extent of a visual and functional inspection encompasses breaks, deformation, cracks, damage, and damage
