Installation clearances and air circulation
Planning the installation site
► Ensure sufficient air circulation. There must not be
heat buildup around the inverter.
►
Refer to the
Operating temperature range without
derating
and the
Total operating temperature range
(see "Technical Data").
When the
operating temperature range without der-
ating
is exceeded, the inverter reduces the AC power
fed into the grid.
When the
Total operating temperature range
is ex-
ceeded, the inverter stops feeding AC power into the
grid.
This is normal operating behavior for the inverter and
is necessary to protect the internal electronics.
If there is a loss of performance during operation, this
may be due to overheating of the inverter.
►
Position multiple inverters so that they do not make
each other warmer.
Clearance to the floor
From the point of view of air circulation, the distance to the
ground does not matter. However, other factors must be
taken into account:
►
Are the LEDs clearly visible?
►
Are all components easily accessible for work? Also
take into account the space required for the use of
tools.
►
Is there enough space to route the cables (especially
the AC cable)? Check the minimum bending radius of
the cables.
► Is flooding or snow drifting possible? In this case,
install the inverter in an elevated position.
Clearance to the front
The specified minimum clearances for air circulation apply
to installations that are open to the front, in other words
that warm air can escape to the front.
If you want to operate the inverter in a sealed box, you
must ensure that cold air is supplied and hot air is dissi-
pated efficiently. Have your ventilation plan checked by
Delta Customer Service to avoid problems during opera-
tion.
