3. The battery charge indicator of the USB
charging cable (4) turns on, as soon as the
drone ball’s (1) rechargeable battery is
charged.
4. After charging, disconnect the cable end (4a)
of the USB charging cable (4) from the re-
chargeable battery connector (1h) and unplug
the other cable end (4b) of the USB charging
cable (4) from the USB port.
Undervoltage warning
The lights of the drone ball start flashing when the
rechargeable battery is almost empty. Charge the
drone ball as soon as you notice this.
Suitable flight environment
For an optimal flight, the environment should fulfil
the following criteria:
• Calm, windless, closed area.
• Persons must keep a safety distance of 5m from
the drone ball at take off.
• No devices, such as air conditioners, fans etc.,
close by, which might cause air currents.
• Be sure to pay attention to the environment in
which you use the drone ball.
• Area free from obstructions (e.g. no lamps etc.).
• There should be a minimum area size of
approx. 10 x 6 x 3m (L x W x H).
• Find a large, open and wide area without
obstructions; watch out for buildings, crowds,
power lines and trees in particular.
• For aerobatic flights, such as loops, there should
be a space of approx. 10m in all directions.
• Make sure to select a dry and rain-free
environment.
• The suitable operating temperature is between
10 °C to 45 °C.
• Always avoid the prohibited areas (you will find
these in the “Safety information” section).
Flight preparation
Pay attention to the following, before you start
flying the drone ball:
1. Always place the drone ball (1) on an even
surface for take off.
2. Always move the throttle (2c) and control lever
(2d) slowly and carefully with sensitivity.
3. Keep your attention continuously focused on the
drone ball during the flight!
Note:
Always keep the drone ball in sight during
flight operations!
4. Do not hang any loads on the drone ball.
Starting the flight (Fig. G)
Here are a few tips on controlling the drone ball,
before you start the flying:
• Move the throttle (2c) back slightly, if the drone
ball (1) lifts off from the ground too quickly.
• Move the throttle (2c) forward a little, if the
drone ball (1) sinks.
• Tap the throttle (2d) lightly in the desired direc-
tion to fly in a curve.
Note:
Always turn on the remote control first.
Make sure that the throttle (2c) is set at the lowest
position (motors off) when switching on the remote
control!
Only then can the drone ball be switched on.
Otherwise, the item may react unpredictably and
the rotors could start unintentionally!
1. Turn the on/off switch (2b) of the remote control
(2) to (ON). The indicator light (2a) flashes and
a beep sounds.
2. Turn the on/off switch of the drone ball (1i) to
ON. The LED navigation lights (1e) of the drone
ball flash.
3. Slide the throttle (2c) all the way forwards and
then all the way back. A beep sounds from the
remote control (2).
Note:
This process establishes contact between
the drone ball and the remote control. If the
throttle is not first moved forwards and then back,
the drone ball remains secured and is not ready
for flight.
4. The drone ball’s LED navigation light (1e) shines
continuously. The drone ball is now ready for
flight.
