Removing the Processor
1. Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2. Remove the:
a) cover
b) heat sink
3. Press the release lever down and then move it outward to release it from the retention hook. Lift the processor
cover and remove the processor from the socket, and place it in an antistatic bag.
Installing the Processor
1. Insert the processor into the processor socket. Ensure that the processor is properly seated.
2. Lower the processor cover.
3. Press the release lever down and then move it inward to secure it with the retention hook.
4. Install the:
a) heat sink
b) cover

Removing the System Fan
1. Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2. Remove the cover.
3. Press the clip to release and disconnect the system fan cable from the system board.
