Replacing the Modem

Removing the Modem

1.

Follow the instructions in

Before Working Inside Your Computer

.

2.

Turn the computer upside-down, loosen the two captive screws on the modem cover, and remove the cover from the computer.

3.

Remove the M2 x 3-mm screw that attaches the modem to the system board.

4.

Pull up on the pull-tab to disconnect the modem from the connector on the system board.

5.

Disconnect the modem cable from the modem.
