| Fan

Procedure

Disconnect the fan cable from the connector (FANC1) on the system board.

Remove the fan cable from the routing guide on the fan.

Remove the screws that secure the fan to the chassis.

Lift the fan along with its cable away from the chassis.

Replacing the Fan

Procedure

Align the screw holes on the fan with the screw holes on the chassis.

Replace the screws that secure the fan to the chassis.

Route the fan cable through the routing guide on the fan.

Connect the fan cable to the connector (FANC1) on the system board.

Postrequisites

Replace the system-board shield. See "Replacing the System-Board Shield" on
page 36.

Replace the back cover. See "Replacing the Back Cover" on page 20.

Replace the stand. See "Replacing the Stand" on page 18.

Replace the stand cover. See "Replacing the Stand Cover" on page 16.

Follow the instructions in "After Working Inside Your Computer" on page 13.
