Remove the 

base cover

Procedure to remove the M.2 2230 solid-state drive

1. Loosen the captive screw that secures the solid-state drive shield and solid-state drive to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the solid-state drive shield to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3. Slide and remove the solid-state drive shield from the solid-state drive.
4. Slide and remove the solid-state drive from the solid-state drive slot.
