The following steps are applicable only if you want to further remove any other component from your
computer.
5. Peel the tape that secures the battery cable to the system board.
6. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
7. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to ground the computer and drain the flea power.

Procedure
1. Connect the battery cable to the system board, if applicable.
CAUTION:
To avoid accidental damage to the power-adapter port, do not press the base cover against the power-
adapter port when you snap the base cover to the computer base.
2. Adhere the tape that secures the battery cable to the system board.
