Removing the integrated storage controller card
Prerequisites

not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions
that are shipped with your product.
1.
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
2.
Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
3.
Remove the cooling shroud.
4.
Remove the expansion card riser 1.
5.
Keep the Phillips #2 screwdriver ready.
Steps
1.
Loosen the screws that secure the integrated storage controller cable to the integrated storage
controller card connector on the system board.
2.
Lift the integrated storage controller cable away from the integrated storage controller.
3.
Lift one end of the card and angle it to disengage the card from the integrated storage controller
card holder on the system board.
4.
Lift the card out of the system.
