Dell EMC Ready Stack: Microsoft Hyper-V on PowerEdge 14G Servers and Unity Storage 

 Deployment Guide 

  

 

Install the QLogic driver: 

1. 

Browse to the download location and double-click the file. 

2. 

Read the release information that is presented in the dialog box. 

3. 

Download and install any prerequisites that are identified in the dialog box. 

4. 

Click 

Install

. 

5. 

Follow the remaining prompts to perform the installation. 

 

This procedure might be optional

―the driver might be already available in the Windows 

Server 2016 ISO. Install the PERC driver, if necessary, as follows: 

1. 

Browse to the download location and double-click the new file. 

2. 

Read the release information that is presented in the dialog box. 

3. 

Download and install any prerequisites that are identified in the dialog box. 

4.

5. 

Follow the remaining prompts to perform the installation.

Enabling Hyper-V, failover clustering, and multipath features  

To install the Windows Hyper-V, failover clustering, and multipath features, enter the 
following Windows PowerShell command. 

Note:

 In Windows Server 2016, run the Windows PowerShell command as an administrator. This 

step requires a restart. 

Install-WindowsFeature –Name Failover-Clustering, Multipath-IO, 
Hyper-V–IncludeManagementTools – Restart 

 

Set up NIC teaming: 

1. 

In Server Manager, select 

Local Server

2.
