ABOUT THE CHARGER
DEFA Multi - and MarineCharger 1x7 and 2x7 are based on modern switch-mode technology and galvanised divisions. These chargers represent the latest
technology within battery charging, which will give the battery optimum life.
DEFA MultiCharger/MarineCharger 1x7 og 2x7 are both available in two versions. A DEFA PlugIn version to be used together with armoured 230V DEFA
PlugIn connecting - and extension cables, and a standard version using 230VAC schuko power connecting cable.
A 12 V charger for fixed assembly with DEFA PlugIn connection or ordinary mains cable. It is well suited to battery sizes up to approx. 200 Ah
and can maintenance charge the battery for an unlimited time. The charger can stand parallel charging up to 5A from another user at the same
time as it charges the batteries. The charging voltage is temperature compensated with external sensor.
A 12 V charger for fixed assembly with DEFA PlugIn connection or ordinary mains cable. This has two separate charging outputs each of 12V
and 7A. The charger can be used both in 12V and 24V systems. Each output has its own temp sensor and the possibility of remote reading of
the charging process. The charger can stand parallel charging up to 5A from another user per channel at the same time as it charges the
batteries. This charger can be used for:charging 2x12V (2x7A), 1x12V (1x14A).
230VAC Input. Main power.
Temperature sensor.
LED remote gauge (Accessory). Item.no.700129 for 1x7A and 700136 for 2x7A.
230VAC Output. (Fx to connect another Multi- or MarineCharger).
Orange cable: 12V output provided connected to 230VAC Input (Fx. for alarm/starter interrupt device).
FUNCTION/CHARGE PROGRESS
Start and stop the charger by connect or disconnect main power. The charging curve shows the voltage (U) / time (t) and current (I) / time (t).
The LED indicator on top of the chargers front panel indicate the charging steps (S1,S2...) status.

MOUNTING
Take time to read the manual. Equipment damage and possible injuries may result from an incomplete understanding of the installation and operation of the
charger. If you are unfamiliar with electrical systems: consult us, a dealer or a licensed electrician.
Fix and connect the charger according to the suitable diagram A or B. Connect the battery with the red charging cable to (+) and black to (-). Then connect
the charger to 230VAC main power. Take into consideration the recommendations of the battery manufacturer. The charger is intended for lead/acid
batteries, independently vented, AGM and Gel. The charger is intended for fixed assembly. Use the drillguide. An external temperature sensor should be
placed on the battery or in the immediate vicinity of the battery.
The fusesize is 10A on the red charge cable. Ensure that the charging prosess is starting (Red LED light).
Charger with DEFA PlugIn connetions got IP44. Chargers with schuko connection got IP 67.
Fix the charger with the PlugIn connectors
pointing downwards to obtain the IP rating 67.
NB: Do not cut or extend the cables between the charger and your battery. It will interfere with the programmed charging progress.
Read these instructions for use and follow them carefully before using the charger.
