PLACING THE MOTION DETECTOR
The Motion Detector is a PIR (passive infrared) detector designed for installation in corners or
on a flat wall surface. When placing the Motion Detector it is important to consider the
following, to ensure that the detector notifies you only when an intruder is detected:
1. Do not place directly over or facing a heat source.
2. Do not place in locations that are exposed to drafts.
3. Do not place outdoors or in locations exposed to direct sunlight.
4. Do not place facing a window surface, or behind blinds or curtains.
For optimal coverage, the Motion Detector should be placed 1.8m - 2.4m above floor level.
