Removing the Battery

The battery is located on the bottom of the system unit
(Figure 5-2).

To remove the battery pack:

Close any open applications and shutdown the
operating system.

Power Off the computer by pressing [fn] + the
Standby/Resume button.

Press down on the battery in front of the latch and slide
the latch in the direction shown

Remove the battery by lifting it up and away from the
system unit (Figure 5-2).
