Tighten the Allen screws again.
Make sure that the brake locks completely when the lever is set and does not snap back.
4.14 Drum brake
Days Tilt ‘n’ Space is fitted with drum brake, which can only be operated by
an assistant with the brake levers mounted on the handles.
Drum brake can be used as a parking brake and as a service brake. As a
service brake it can be used to slow the wheelchair gradually. The locking
function is used for parking the wheelchairs.

To set brake just pull the brake lever and press the locking lever
upwards
o
To release the parking brake, just pull the brake lever briefly (the
lock is released automatically)
The braking force is adjusted with the adjusting screw for optimum braking
performance. The brake force is increased by screwing the adjusting screw
out and reduced by screwing it in.

Unscrew the adjusting screw until you can hear friction noise when
the wheel rotates
o
Screw in the adjustment screw until you can no longer hear the
noise. The wheel will rotate freely
o
After the adjustment the adjusting screw is locked by tightening the lock nut

Pommel adapt to the seat by adjusting it’s position
Loosen the plastic screws, put the wedge in required position and
tighten the screw securely
