5.14.1

Enable microphone bias voltage – J14

If the microphone requires an external bias voltage, inserting a jumper on
J14 connects the microphone input to the MIC_BIAS signal coming from
the Audio codec.

5.14.2

Accessing the peripheral

Access to the audio interface is provided by ALSA (Advanced Linux
Sound Architecture), which consists in a kernel driver and a users space
library for application developers. A set of standard tools (

alsa-utils

)

can be used for simple management of the audio codec.

5.14.2.1

Basic usage

To list the available sound cards:
