Q-Series

Construction Details

85

Power input

The +11-36 V DC power input connector is positioned on the side of the Controller.

Start position

The start position (stow position) for the Q-Series is indicated by three vertical markings on 
the antenna base. These need to be aligned in order for the Q-Series to be in its stow posi-
tion.

Heading and 
Azimuth

Heading

 is the direction of the baseplate. It is used to calculate a relative azimuth to the 

satellite.

Azimuth

 is the antenna pointing direction in the horizontal plane, measured in 0-360° 

clockwise from north. The Q-Series azimuth limits are ±20° from the heading.

Elevation

Elevation is measured from the horizontal plane (0°) and up. The elevation range is 10-
90°.
If the required elevation is below 10°, the Q-Series must be propped up to the left to com-
pensate for the minimum elevation.
