Keyboard Mapping

Keyboard Mapping

The

Keyboard Mapping

feature provides alternatives for keyboards that do not conform

to US English mapping.

Note:

Universal Keyboard mapping is slightly slower than the other language-specific

options, because it maps data by reference to the full set of ASCII characters. The

advantage of Universal Keyboard mapping is that it allows any language and keyboard

layout to be mapped.

Important:

Keyboard Mapping is not to be confused with USB Keyboard Mode, which

has an entirely different function—namely to enable USB cabled communications. (See

USB Interface
