DX8210 Barcode Scanner
This parameter defines the minimum number of matching elements required when
comparing two consecutive scan code portions. If at least the defined number of
elements matches between the two portions, both of them will be accepted for
code reconstruction.
Position Tolerance
Enter the amount of dimensional tolerance which can be allowed when comparing
two code elements. The tolerance value is expressed as percentage of the code
module dimension.
Duration Tolerance
Enter the amount of positional tolerance which can be allowed when comparing two
code elements. The tolerance value is expressed as a percentage of the code digit
dimension.
Max Elements Processed per Scan
Enter the maximum number of scan elements (bars/spaces) that will be processed
in a scan line.
Digitizer Settings
White Belt Filter
Select Enabled or Disabled from the drop-down. Enables filtering to reduce
background noise when reading over a white conveyor belt.
White Belt Filter Threshold
When White Belt Filter is enabled, you need to enter a filter threshold.
White Belt Filter Range
When White Belt Filter is enabled, you need to enter a filter range.
Wooden Box Filter
Select Enabled or Disabled from the drop-down. Enables filtering to reduce
background noise when codes are on a wood grained surface.
Number of FPGA Registers to Patch
Select a number from the drop-down list.
FPGA Register n Offset
Enter the register offset in the field provided.
FPGA Register n Value
Enter the register value in the field provided.
FPGA Register n Side to Patch
Select A+B Side, A Side, or B Side from the drop-down list. “Side” refers to the laser
leg of the DX8210, and allow you to choose both legs or either one.
3. When you have finished making changes, click Update All to save all pend-
ing changes, click Reset All to revert to all previously saved values, and click
Reset Page to revert to previous saved values on the current page.
Use the DS8110 and DX8210 Digitizer Settings to increase scan element throughput
and provide support for a white belt and wooden box filter.
Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) patches are intended for special cases only,
and must only be applied with the guidance of Datalogic Support.
