30 Using the System
Change the LCD Backlight Brightness
You may need to change the LCD backlight brightness to make it easier to see. You can do this
using the LCD panel Configuration menu.
Begin when the printer displays Ready. The U
SER
button shows steady green.
1.
Enter the menu system.
a.
Press the U
SER
button.
Suspended displays on line 1 of the LCD panel.
b.
Press E
NTER
to enter the menu system.
2.
Access the LCD backlight option.
a.
Press the down arrow key until Configuration displays on
line 2 of the LCD panel.
b.
Press E
NTER
to enter the Configuration menu.
c.
Press the down arrow key to display LCD Backlight on
line 2 of the LCD panel.
d.
Press E
NTER
to select LCD Backlight.
3.
Select LCD Backlight level.
a.
Press the down arrow key to lower the light level.
Or
Press the up arrow key to increase the light level.
b.
When the light is at the desired level, press E
NTER
.
The printer saves the settings and returns to the
Configuration menu.
4.
Exit the menu system.
a.
Press an arrow key until Exit displays on line 2 of the LCD panel.
b.
Press E
NTER
to exit the Configuration menu.
5.
Press the down arrow key until Exit displays on line 2.
6.
Press E
NTER
. Then, press the U
SER
button to return the printer to
Ready. The U
SER
button glows green.
