10 Installation
Secure the System (Optional)
You can secure the embosser using one of the following:

An optional cable lock (refer to “Use the Optional Cable Lock” ).

The bolt-down openings in the bottom of the embosser enclosure (refer to “Use the Bolt-
Down Openings” ).
Use the Optional Cable Lock
You can secure the embosser using the
optional cable lock.
1.
Locate the security plate receptacle at the
back of the embosser.
2.
Insert the security plate vertically into the
receptacle from below the embosser with
the open end toward the embosser.
3.
Insert the T-bar of the cable lock through
the opening into the security plate.
4.
Follow the instructions included with the cable lock to complete the installation.
Use the Bolt-Down Openings
The embosser includes bolt-down openings that you can use to secure the system to a mounting
surface.
1.
Unlock and open the embosser supplies
access door, if necessary.
2.
If installed, remove the topping foil and
indent ribbon cartridges and set them
aside.
This procedure is optional. Contact your system administrator for requirements.
