Emboss—Print a test card using embossed characters. Select the check box under Card Front
(Page 1) and then select the type of test card you want to print. You can select from the
following options to test the position and quality of embossed and indented characters, and
topping foil application.

TestCard1—Use this test card to check emboss positioning borders. The test embosses
three 8s on the card.

TestCard2—Use this card to test the topping foil. The test embosses multiple full lines on
the card using Emboss wheel 1 and tops the embossed characters.

TestCard3—Use this test to emboss and apply topping to a card and indent the back of
the card.

TestCard4—Use this test to check the registration of the entire emboss/topping area and
define the embossing area. The test embosses nine 8s on the card.

TestCard5—Use this test to check the height of characters on Emboss wheel 1 without
topping.

TestCard6—Use this test to check the remaining characters on Emboss wheel 1 without
topping and test the front indent characters.

TestCard7 and TestCard8—Use these tests to check wheel 2 emboss and topping. The
tests also indent the back of the card using wheel 1 characters.

TestCard9 and TestCard10—Use these tests to check the height of all characters on
Emboss wheel 2.

CalibratePick—This test verifies that the card pick function works. It should be used by
service providers only.

CalibrateTopper—This test verifies that the topper works. It should be used by service
providers only.

TestCleaningCard—Use this option with a cleaning card to clean the embosser flipper
module rollers. The card is ejected after cleaning.

Magnetic Stripe—Print the test card with encoded magnetic stripe data.

Magnetic Stripe JIS—Print the test card with encoded JIS magnetic stripe data.

Color—Print the test card using the YMCK panels of the print ribbon on the front or back.

Monochrome—Print the test card using a monochrome ribbon (or the K panel of a color
ribbon) on the front or back.

Topcoat—Print the test card with topcoat on the front or back.

Second Topcoat—Print the test card with a second topcoat on the front or back.
