Connecting Directly to the Host Computer
Generally, host computers have two USB ports. These ports are
completely independent. To connect a DT9820 Series function
module directly to a USB port of the computer, perform the following
steps:
1. Attach one end of the EP310 cable, which is shipped with the
DT9820 Series function module, to the USB port on the module.
2. Attach the other end of the EP310 cable to one of the USB ports
on the host computer, as shown in
Figure 2 .
The operating system automatically detects the USB device.

3. If you previously installed the DT9820 Series Device Driver,
ignore the remaining steps, and repeat steps 1 and 2 to attach
another DT9820 Series function module to the host computer, if
desired.
If you have not yet installed the DT9820 Series Device Driver, the
New Hardware Found wizard appears. Click Next to have the
wizard search for the DT9820 Series Device Driver, then proceed
to step 4.
4. Click the option to search for the driver, then click Next.
