Loading the Device Driver
To load the DT340 Device Driver in Windows 98, follow the steps in
the next section. To load the DT340 Device Driver in Windows Me,
follow the steps on
page 22 . To load the DT340 Device Driver in
Windows NT 4.0, follow the steps on page 23 . To load the DT340
Device Driver in Windows 2000, follow the steps on page 23 .
Windows 98
Once you have installed the DT340 driver, installed a DT340 board,
and powered up the host computer, the New Hardware Found dialog
box appears, followed by the Add New Hardware Wizard dialog box.
Perform the following steps to load the device driver in Windows 98:
1. Click Next.
2. Click Search for the best driver for your device
(Recommended)
, then click Next.
3. Click Specify a location, browse to the
Windows/System32/Drivers directory on your hard drive, then
click Next.
4. Click Next.
The files are copied.
5. Click Finish.
6. Open the Control Panel.
7. Double-click the Open Layers Control Panel icon.
8. Select the DT340 board to configure, then click Advanced.
9. Select the appropriate boxes to enable interrupts for lines (bits) 0
to 7 on digital port D, user counter/timers 0 to 7, and interval
timers 8 to 11.
10. When you are finished, click Close.
