MAIN ASSEMBLY

1.

Lower

second stage carrier sub-assembly (2)

into

hub (1G).

CAUTION: Beware sharp edges in the

counterbore as “O” ring is installed.

2.

Grease and place

“O” ring (5)

into the counterbore of

hub (1G)

.

NOTE: The “O” ring can be made to fit the counterbore exactly by stretching it (if it is too
small) or by pinching it together bit by bit (if it is too large) as it is palced into the
counterbore.

3.

Place

ring gear (4)

down onto

hub (1G)

, into mesh with

second stage carrier

sub-assembly (2)

. Make sure the bolt holes in hub and ring gear are aligned.

4.

With small end down, place

second stage sun gear (11)

down into mesh with

second stage carrier sub-assembly (2)

.

5.

Grease and palce one each of

thrust washer (14)

,

thrust bearing (13)

, and

thrust

washer (12)

, in that order, onto counterbore on the top of

second stage carrier sub-

assembly (2).

Make sure the thickest

thrust washer (#14)

is nearest the carrier.

6.

Grease and palce thrust

bearing carrier (10)

into the top of

second stage carrier

(2).
