14.3.2.4 Gamma

Only gamma settings and gamma curve gradients of user-definable camera presets can

be adjusted.

The gamma setting allows you to adjust the relative distribution of brightness in the mid-

tones (the distribution of light between black and white) and thus the image contrast.

However, note that the effect of the gamma setting always depends on the individual

display device.

Typical video-look.
Reproduces images with standard video gamma curve.

CINEMA1

Approximation to typical film-look (characteristics of chemical film).

Reproduces images more lively and with more depth.

CINEMA2

In addition to the features of

CINEMA1

, this setting is especially suitable for scenes with a

high dynamic range, which provides a reproduction of a deeper black.
