8.1 Generality
The grid's firebox and the fumes pipes of the generator must be periodically cleared from
solid fuel residues (ash).
The maintenance of fumes pipes cleared by ash guarantees draught efficiency and,
therefore, greater yield of the heat generator.

lists the cleaning operations in
chronological order.
ATTENTION!!
BEFORE CLEANING, DISCONNECT THE ELECTRIC ENERGY
FROM THE GENERATOR BY INTERVENING ON THE MAIN SWITCH
AND ENSURE THAT THE RESIDUE FUEL INSIDE THE FIREBOX IS
OFF AND HAS COOLED DOWN
CLEANING THE GRID
OPERATION
: removal of ashes or deposits from the grid's firebars surfaces.
PERIODICITY
: 7 / 15 days
NOTES
: Remove the individual firebars from the clamping bars where they are housed, making
sure to start from the upper row downwards, if required.

CLEANING THE UNDER-GRILL COMPARTMENT
OPERATION(1)
: checking and cleaning of the ashes below the grid's housing compartment, ac-
cessible from the lower lids "A". We recommend also removing the ashes on the slide guide of
the wheels on which the mobile grid's carriage slides.
OPERATION(2):
checking and cleaning of the ashes from the air passage pipes accessible from
lids "B".

OPERATION

traction doors with the use of provided pipe brush.

: also periodically check the flue and seals along the path.

CLEANING OF THE TUBES NEST
OPERATION
: check and cleaning of the ashes inside the tubes nest; opening the upper door and
using the provided pipe brush. In case the turbolators are inserted (optional), careful to remove
them from each pipe before cleaning.
