12.1 Computer System Requirements

DakView

utility software will run on any Windows based or MAC OS 10.8-10.10

operating system, running Intel or AMD hardware.

USB to Serial Converter

Some newer laptop computers do not have standard serial ports. In this case it is
possible to use a USB to Serial converter. If a serial to USB cable is needed,

12.2 Installing DakView

The latest version of

DakView

can be downloaded directly from our website and

saved to your desktop. The

DakView

file is an executable file that will invoke the

installer software when double clicked. At the end of the installation, the USB
converter driver installation will automatically begin. Be sure your USB converter
cable is “not” plugged into the PC. Refer to the help section in

DakView

for the

complete operating manual, setup, and operating procedures.
