4 Set-up and installation
4.1 Installation
4.1.1 Important information
CAUTION
▪ Only install the hot water storage tank if an adequate
ground load-bearing capacity of ( 500 kg/m² plus a
safety factor) is guaranteed. The ground must be flat
and level.
▪ Installation outdoors is only possible to a limited extent.
The storage tank must not be exposed to continuous
direct sunlight as the UV radiation and the effects of
the weather will damage the housing.
▪ The hot water storage tank must be protected from
frost .
▪ Make sure that the supply company does not provide
corrosive domestic water .
Suitable water treatment may be required.
Requirement: The installation location meets the applicable coun-
try-specific requirements.
Incorrect set-up and installation would void the manufacturer's guar-
antee for the device. If there are any questions, please contact our
Technical Customer Service.

4.1.3 Installing the hot water storage tank
▪ Remove the packaging and dispose of it in an environmentally
sound manner.
▪ Carefully transport the hot water storage tank to the installation
location using the recessed grips .
▪ Install the hot water storage tank at the installation location.
Recommended distance from the wall (a): ≥ 500 mm ( Fig. 4-3 ).
INFORMATION
For the installation of an optional electric immersion
heater (see Chap. 3.2.1 ), a minimum distance "X" of
≥ 500 mm is required.
INFORMATION
When installing the unit in a cabinet, behind panels or in
other restricted conditions, sufficient ventilation (e.g. using
ventilation gratings) must be ensured.
▪ Check the horizontal position. Slight unevennesses can be com-
pensated by four height-adjustable feet.
