Optical Interface
VEN-U3 cameras are equipped with CS-mount and S-mount lens adapters. The back-flange distance of
CS-mount is 12.526 mm (in the air), and the maximum lens allowed thread length should be less than
6.3mm, as shown in Figure 5-4. The back-flange distance of S-mount is 13.18 mm (in the air), and the
maximum screw-in depth of the S-mount lens should be less than 11.6mm, as shown in Figure 5-5.
The CS-mount color models are equipped with an IR filter and the cut-off frequency is 700nm. The mono
models are equipped with a transparent glass. Remove IR-filter or transparent glass will defocus the image
plane.
