Parameters 

firmware_fromTFTP

 

−

 Download and install new firmware on the Switch from a TFTP 

server. 

•

 

<ipaddr> 

−

 The IP address of the TFTP server. 

•

 

<ipv6addr> 

–

 

The IPv6 address of the TFTP server. 

•

 

<path_filename 64>

 

−

 The DOS path and filename of the firmware file on the 

TFTP server. For example, C:\3612.had. 

•

 

unit <unitid1-12> 

–

 

Enter the ID of the Switch in the switch stack to where to 

save the file.  

•

 

all 

– Use this parameter to select all switches in the switch stack.  

•

 

<drive_id> 

– Enter the drive ID of the internal flash drive to where to save the 

file. 

•

 

{<pathname 64>} – 

The 

pathname 

in the command refers to the flash memory 

located on the switch. This drive is nominated c: and those who wish to save 
the firmware, instead of uploading it directly to the NV-RAM must specify the 
path on the flash memory to place this file (ex. c:/firm1). The filename cannot 
exceed 64 alphanumeric characters. 

•

 

boot_up –

 Enter this parameter to use this file as the boot up file upon next 

reboot of the switch. 

config_fromTFTP

 Download and install a configuration file on the Switch from a TFTP 

server. 

•

 

<ipaddr>

 The IP address of the TFTP server. 

•

 

<ipv6addr> 

–

 

The IPv6 address of the TFTP server. 

•

 

<path_filename 64>

 The DOS path and filename of the switch configuration 

file on the TFTP server. For example, C:\3612.had.

– Enter the drive ID of the internal flash drive to where to save the 

file.
