Installation Verification
The RG-S8614/S8610/S8606/S8606 B is complicated equipment, so you must carefully plan the installation location,
networking mode, power supply, and wiring before installation.
Verify the following before installation:
The installation location meets the heat dissipation requirements..
The installation environment meets the temperature and humidity requirements
The qualified power supply is available at the installation location.
The related network cables have already been deployed at the installation location.
Rated DC or AC power supply is selected.
Selecting the Right Power Supplies
To help users select the reasonable power supplies, the following table lists the theoretical maximum power consumption
of each line card and the maximum power of the power supply system. For reliable use, set up the power supplies to work
in n + n redundancy mode, in which the total power of the n power supplies should exceed the maximum system power
consumption. In practice, 2 x n power supplies are used with each n power supplies connected to different power grids to
avoid power failures.
The total power consumption of the power supply = the number of power supplies x the power consumption of one
power supply.
The total power consumption of the system = sum of the maximum power consumption of m the maximum
power consumption of the fan in the corresponding chassis.
