Ping Test
The
Ping Test
feature allows the user to ping to any network device from the router. This
helps in checking network connectivity from the router.
Select
Tools
→
Ping Test
to configure
Ping Test
as explained below.
Ping Test
Set Type
Select IP address or Domain Name to use for the ping test.
IP address
Enter the IP address of the end host, if Set Type selection was IP address.
Domain Name
Enter the Domain Name of the end host, if Set Type selection was
Domain Name.
Count Number
Enter the number of packets to send for the ping test. The value should be
always less than or equal to 10 (four is recommended).
Press the
Apply
button to start the ping test. When the test is over the results are shown
in the text box below.

Note:
If
NAT
is enabled on the remote side then the Global IP address should be
entered as the remote IP address because the router will get the request from that
address.

SNMP
The SNMP feature is used to monitor the device by any SNMP Manager.
Select
Tools
→
SNMP
to configure
SNMP
as explained below.
SNMP
SNMP Daemon
Select Enable or Disable to activate or deactivate SNMP Daemon.
System Contact
Enter the name to specify the contact person of this device in case of any
faults. The name should be STRING type.
System Location
Enter the name to specify the current location of the device where it is
placed. The name should be STRING type.
User Name
Enter the User Name for authentication. User name should be unique and
STRING type.
SNMP Version
User can select any of the three versions are SNMP v1, SNMP v2c and
SNMP v3.
