Purpose

Used to configure an identifier for the
SNMP engine on the switch.

Syntax

config snmp engineID

Description

This config snmp engineID command
configures an identifier for the SNMP
engine on the switch. Associated with each
SNMP entity is a unique engineID.

Parameters

snmp_engineID

−

Identity for the SNMP

engine on the switch. It is an octet string
type.

Restrictions

Only administrator-level users can issue
this command.
