Purpose

Used to create a static entry to the
multicast MAC address forwarding table
(database)

Syntax

create multicast_fdb <vlan_name 32>

<macaddr>

Description

This command will make an entry into the
switch’s multicast MAC address forwarding
database.

Parameters

<vlan_name 32>

−

The name of the VLAN

on which the MAC address resides.

−

The MAC address that will be

added to the forwarding table.
