Purpose

This command configures the maximum number of multicast groups
that a port can join.

Syntax

config max_mcast_group <portlist> max_group <value 1-256>

Description This

command

configures

the maximum number of multicast group

that a port can join.

Parameters

<portlist>



A range of ports to config the max_mcast_group.

max_group



Specifies the maximum number of multicast groups.

The range is from 1 to 256. 256 is the default setting.

Restrictions

Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.

Example usage:

To configure the maximum number of multicast groups that a port can join:
