CONNECTING TO WI-FI (continued)
The pairing of helmet camera Wi-Fi signal with the Cyclevision App allows the use of a mobile smart phone (when
mounted on the bicycle handlebars) to be used as an
“
electronic rear vision mirror
”
suitable for display of
rearwards approaching traffic.
Note: The front and rear helmet cameras can be Wi-Fi paired to your smart phone for operator use in the same
manner as described.
Note:
You can only pair one camera at any one time to your smart phone; it is not possible to pair both cameras at
a single time to the same device.
Note: Initial pairing may require entering of a password, the factory default password

The helmet SSID and password can be changed to a user preference

CAUTION:
The electronic rear vision as seen through the Cyclevision App has a mannerism called
‘video latency’
(the delay from the time the image has been captured & processed by the helmet PCBA, Wi-Fi to your mobile
smartphone, reprocessed and displayed as an image on your smartphone screen) of approximately 0.2ms
(milliseconds). Therefore, objects appearing/approaching as viewed through the Cyclevision App screen may be
closer than they appear on your smartphone screen.
CAUTION:
Do not use the Cyclevision electro
nic rear vision as your ‘only point of reference’ when crossing traffic
lanes.
CAUTION:
Cyclists must ensure the road traffic is clear of approaching traffic before crossing lanes by physically
ensuring that there is no traffic approaching.
