2.2.11 Confirm the IP Address and Test the Audio
2.2.11.1 RTFM Switch
When the SIP Paging Amplifier is operational and linked to the network, use the Reset Test Function
Management
(RTFM)
) (located behind the hole on the device) to announce and
confirm the device’s IP Address and test the audio to verify that it is working.

Address
To announce a device’s current IP address:

Use a bent paperclip or a similar object to press and hold the RTFM switch for a couple of
seconds and then release it.
GENERAL ALERT
Caution
Equipment Caution:
Pressing and holding the RTFM switch for more than five
seconds will restore the device to the factory default settings. See the “
” section.
Restoring the
Factory Default
Settings
To restore the factory default settings, complete the following steps:
1. Use a bent paperclip or a similar object to press and hold the RTFM switch until you hear the
device announce the words, “restoring defaults” and “rebooting”.
2. Release the RTFM switch. The device will be restored to the factory default settings.
